Methylene Blue is a potent compound and NOT suitable for everyone.
DO NOT USE if you:

• Have G6PD deficiency (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) – MANDATORY blood test required BEFORE use (risk of severe hemolytic anemia).
• Are taking any serotonergic medications (e.g., SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, triptans, St. John’s Wort, MDMA, linezolid) – HIGH RISK of serotonin syndrome (potentially fatal).
• Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years old.
• Have kidney/liver disease or methemoglobinemia history.

START LOW (≤0.5 mg/2 lbs of body weight) and MONITOR for side effects: blue urine, nausea, dizziness, confusion, rapid heartbeat, or shortness of breath – STOP IMMEDIATELY and seek emergency care if severe.  Please send an email to gwen@gfia.net with your body weight.
