DMSO Nasal Spray

DMSO nasal spray combining pharmaceutical-grade 99.995% DMSO with normal saline is a simple two-ingredient formulation intended for nasal application. High-purity DMSO is a polar solvent known for rapid tissue penetration and anti-inflammatory properties and saline provides an isotonic base that moisturizes and helps keep the solution comfortable in the nasal passages.

DMSO is rapidly absorbed across mucous membranes and has been studied as a carrier and for local anti-inflammatory effects. Saline nasal sprays and irrigations are widely used to loosen mucus, reduce crusting, and support mucociliary clearance. Combining the two makes a perfect blend for sinus comfort, and chronic sinus congestion. 

Important considerations:  DMSO increases absorption of other substances it contacts, so the spray bottle, hands, and nasal environment must be clean. Possible effects include local stinging or irritation, garlic-like breath or body odor (reduced but not always eliminated even with high-purity material), and headache or dizziness in some users.
