Jewelweed Salve

Jewelweed, also known as Touch-Me-Not, is native New England plant, commonly used as a preventative and remedy for plant-caused skin rashes.
Plantain's fresh leaves can bring immediate relief to insect bites, stings and itchy or painful conditions. Chickweed is a salad herb high in Vitamin C used for the relief of itching, swelling skin conditions. Black Walnut Hulls are helpful for intestinal, reproductive and skin problems. They are anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, promote tissue repair and have strong astringent and antiseptic qualities. Witch Hazel, a popular astringent, is used to reduce pain and swelling. St. Johnswort is used to soothe skin conditions, for nerve irritation, inflammation and pain relief. Calendula has beautiful orange and yellow flowers that are soothing and beneficial for skin problems and to relieve swelling of varicose veins.
